Towing 1 car on a trailer = 150 territory. More than 1 vehicle at a time, too much for 1/2 ton trucks.

Platinum 4x4 = black or gray leather interior, as you have discovered.

For the same equipment, the Platinum is about $2400 MSRP higher than the Lariat. If you don't want some of the equipment that is standard on the Plat and not on the Lariat, you can save even more.

You leave a deposit when you place an order, and pay in full when it comes and if you still want it. The deposit should be refundable with no reasons required.

Provide the math for two 3000 pounds cars (Mustang hasn't been 3k pounds in 15 years) plus a 2500 pound trailer (did you can find a long enough trailer for 2 cars for 2500 pounds) that keeps a 1/2 ton under GVWR and I'll approve. This is why I said the 11k pound rating is almost a lie.

3000 pounds of car plus 1000 pounds of tools and spare parts plus a 2000 pound car hauler is a good fit for 1/2 ton territory.

This is where I'm at right now.

I know you provided a lot of help in my thread on nearly the same subject.

The only issue that I'm considering is that if I start rally racing more seriously a few years from now, I'm going to want an enclosed trailer which means more weight, which means I'm starting to get out of 1/2 ton territory. I'm concerned about dropping $40K on a new 1/2 ton now and then needing to upgrade in 3 years.

Because of this, it might make more sense for me to buy a used 1/2 ton now...or stretch and pony up for the new 3/4 or 1 ton now...
