I ordered my FX4 today. Let the waiting begin.

The only thing I'm getting that I don't want are those FX4 stickers. The dealership is going to take them off.

 

I saw a sweet looking flareside Screw FX4 today at the dealership i wish i would have had my camera with me.

I didn't realize Ford allowed a two-tone choice other than arizona beige. I remember back in '97 when you could get tan, silver frost, or black as the two-tone. Will be interested to see pics of something in two-tone with a color other than the beige.

 

you haven't???? for 04-08, the FX4 always had the grey lower two-tone option, and XLT's had either silver or beige lower two-tone option. It's the same for 09, but now the beige is called Pueblo gold.

 

I ordered mine December 29th and it's still not here, so I feel your pain! I'm new 'round here so I'll share what I picked out in case anybody is curious:

Dealer told me the promise date from FORD was 2/19 but that they were never accurate. He said it shouldn't be later than 1st week in March. I'm going absolutely crazy. Worst part is, you start second guessing your choices after you look at tons of pictures and read about other peoples rigs while you wait. Me, I'm second guessing the 18's (not springing for the 20's) and the long wheelbase (not going w/ 5.5' box). Oh well. Good luck and nice setup, Cougar.

 

Add the moonroof. that is by far my favorite option!!

 

Not trying to rub salt in the wounds, but hopefully you will have it soon, as I ordered my FX4, I think, on the same day as you, or within a day or two anyway, and I received mine a week ago. Took longer than my dealer expected as well, but I think the reason was, they usually come from the KC plant for my area, but for some reason this one came from Dearborn. Anyway, hope you get it soon, and post pics!

I second guessed just about everything I ordered, but am pretty darn happy with the truck, so I know you will be too, once you get it.

 

No moonroof for me. I've never cared for them. I always pull the shade over them.

As for second guessing, I've spent the last few weeks asking questions and opinions on different options. The one thing that kept me from ordering until now is what bed length to buy. I have no regrets with my choices.

I'm expecting a mid to late April delivery so hopefully the April incentives are good.

Ah, ok. I guess it must be because I never consider buying anything less than whatever the top-of-the-line model is that they are offering. In '97 and '98 they offered Lariat's in two-tone. In 2004 Lariat only the beige two-tone was an option, and my truck was beige anyways, so... And now in 2009 the Platinum's are only monotone.
