Anyone Leveled thier '09 Yet?

I am new here since purchasing my '09 F-150. My two previous trucks were '99 F-250 and '05 F-250. I went back to gas because all I pull these days is a 20’ bass boat...did not see much reason to pay the high price of diesel anymore.

I have a '09 4X4 XLT and purchased a 2.5" leveling kit from Hell Bent Steel. I have not got around to installing mine yet...maybe this weekend.

I am enjoying all the info on the site...Thanks.

I see the picture titles didn't come with the pics, so here's what I've done:

It's an 09 Platinum, white sand tri coat. By far the best truck I've owned to date.

2" Skyjacker leveling kit

Challenger Narrow tool box

Exhaust: 3" custom pipe from back pressure cans to Flo-master muffler to 3 1/2" tip.

K & N drop in air filter

Reversed the white letter stock tires

Kota, my Aussie Shepherd

Thanks; Your truck looks awesome!

Seeing your stance makes me wonder if the 2.5" will be too high on my truck...I only want it level and do not plan on lifting the rear.

Any thoughts? I have no prior experience with any of these leveling kits.

I think you would be fine with either a 2 or 2 1/2" lift. You won't notice a 1/2 inch either way. Mine does feel and look exactly level though. Good luck.

Great, Thanks.

I wonder about these anyway. Some call it a 2", others a 2.5" and today I found a manufacturer that calls thier "'09 Ford Leveling Kit" a 3". I guess they are all about the same size to make it level...

Thanks again.

Rad - looks very nice...so you just added the 2" leveling kit to the front springs (spacer) correct? Also, (if I may suggest), get some underbody spray and spray the inside of the rear wheel wells...it will blend much better and make the inside disappear...the focus will be on the outside more - if that makes sense

Now that you mentioned it I see that as well, never thought of that as I've always owned back or dark green vehicles. Good idea.

Going to be my 1st mod - then to remove the bright yellow "product liability" stickers from the sun visors and everything but the build sticker from the door jambs, etc... I prefer the clean "unfettered" look and will remove most of the stickers with a blow dryer and stick in the blank "Notes" pages of the OM, in case I sell the truck and the new owner wants to check 'em out Cracks me up to see (usually older folks) driving their large Buick 4 door sedans with those factory stickers still in the side windows, etc. I know I'll be there someday - but you won't find stickers in my windows
