F150 witha Diesel???

I've heard rumors of a 2010 F150 with a small diesel. Does anyone know if this is true, and if so what size will it be?

i just read in a magazine that they are pushing that back, now that gas prices are 1/2 of what they were a year ago.

But gas prices aren't going to be low for long. They are already rising from what they were. Were almost at $2 again here.

true but if they do come out with it, i bet it won't be around for long. chevy did the same thing back in the 90's and it was a flop

I think Chevy came out with one at the wrong time. These days there are a lot of guys buying 3/4 tons just because they want a diesel. The have no need for the towing capacity or payload, they just want a diesel. I think those guys would jump all over the half ton for a better ride quality.

Thats cause it was a complete piece of cr@p. It was a converted 350 gas engine.

I'd want a 150 diesel because I tow an 8,000 on trailer and no SD will fit in my garage. All the crew cabs are too long. But, from what very very little research I've done, it seems like they're really cracking down on diesels for emission stuff. It seems like it's getting to where you can't touch them.

yeah new diesel's suck compared to the old ones, emissions are killing the power and torque on these, personally a 8000 trailer should be pulled with nothing less than a 3/4 ton

Hey the 7 lugs on the SCrew are nice. At least based on this pic.

its fords loss. i know a few guys that would be all over an f150 diesel.

my truck has 55k on it. thats usually the time that i think about replacing it. ford in their great wisdom shut down the only dealer around here that was any good and not a thief. thats the reason i am still driving what i got. despite all the dealers around here sucking i would still go to one of them to get a 150 diesel.

my current plan is to drive the one i got till its shot. the biggest benefit of owning a new truck is the warranty. and since i would dread taking a truck to one of these dealers that warranty is of very little importance.
