Figure the average delivery costs $8000.00 without insurance (including prenatal) or if you have insurance then it's around $2500.00. Daycare alone for the first year could run a minimum of $3000.00. Add another $1000.00 for diapers and another $1000.00 for formula for the first year. $2000.00 on clothes (those stupid little outfits are EXPENSIVE!) and another $1000.00 for doctors visits.

Assuming no major illness, you've got a minimum of $8000.00... Just for the FIRST YEAR! By the time they're 4, you'll have spent over $27,500.00 (decreasing diaper, formula, doctor and clothing expenses as the child grows) and again that's not accounting for any medical problems.

The funny thing is all that pales in comparison to the cost of education. If you plan to send your kid to college (and paying for it) then you may as well plan on paying about as much as you paid for your house.

Makes you wonder why anyone has kids... It must be love, because nothing else makes sense!
If you would have added anymore cost's into that estimate you probably would have caused me to run for the boarder!

Cool post. I see the graphs but what were the actual numbers for both the stock and performance tune?

Thanks.

I dont know if im missing something but what tuner did you use for those runs? And how much does it cost to have someone dyno tune your truck? Im trying to sell my 08 f150 right now and jump into an 10 fx2. And what did those tunes do for the truck? Do yal have a "economy" tune?

Coming up on a year since this testing was done. I wonder how much longer we will be waiting until PHP puts out their tunes?

My understanding is the delay is at Edge, not PHP.

Notice that Edge still hasn't released a tuner?

Is PHP selling a tuner at all for the 09-10s? I wonder what he used to tune the one listed in this post. I really dont care for a fancy display or anything, only thing im interested in is the programming .

How are people going about removing the snorkel on 09+? I have looked at this a couple of times and still cant figure out how to remove the snorkel.

I just now saw this post.

To answer your question, it takes alot of prying and pulling to get that sucker out of the air box. I took my air box completely out of the truck and used 2 smaller straight blade screw drivers to pry the tabs in so it would slide out. Be careful not to stab yourself because it takes a good amount of pressure, especially if it is cold in your area.

Just remove the drivers side headlight and you can get it out that way. Entire process will take 10 minutes.

I removed my airbox totally, just as Dizman did and used the same process he described with the two flat blade screwdrivers. Once I extracted the "snorkle" I cut off the tapered end with a hack saw, cleaned up and smoothed off the cut and took the piece to Home Depot. Took me a while to find the right piece that I wanted to use to replace the snorkle, but decided on a 45 degree schedule 80 glue elbow (PVC). The male end of the piece fit snugly over the three inch piece which was left on the snorkle. Once at home I intended to glue the piece in place, but decided that was "over-kill". I used three short sheet metal screws to attach the pieces together. It worked well. I ****ed the elbow off towards the rear of the pickup just slightly and up just a little. This gave me plenty of room for clearance on any close body parts or fender well liners. I haven't gotten out on the road since the installment, but anxious to roll. Love the Website.
Thanks Ford Brothers!! Sorry no Pics.
