tidewater,
I can't speak for the 20" wheels, but 285x65x18 fit easily on my '09.

Thanks for the reply I know there are some others who may have seen or heard of 2009 with these tire sizes without a leveling kit. Planning on getting the 5100 bilstiens when they are avaible. Would like to get rid of the Pirelli s and put on KO s AT. The 285 65 20 looks like a nice size tire just want to make sure its no to tall.

There is a big difference between at 285x65x18 and a 285x65x20. Biggest difference is its 2 inches taller. But here are the stats on the two different sizes.

285x65x18
Sidewall: 7.29 in
Radius: 16.29 in
Diameter: 32.59 in
Circumf: 102.37 in
Revs/mile: 618.91

285x65x20
Sidewall: 7.29 in
Radius: 17.29 in
Diameter: 34.59 in
Circumf: 108.66 in
Revs/mile: 583.12

Im not sure if they will fit or not but id say an almost 35 inch tire isnt goin to fit on a stock truck.

You'll need a leveling kit to fit 35's.

Here is the specs for those. Im not sure what the max size on the new truck is but im pretty sure 33s where as tall as you could get on the 04-08s without leveling kit. From what i have read and see so far looks like there might be a little more room on the 09s.

305x55x20
Sidewall: 6.60 in
Radius: 16.60 in
Diameter: 33.21 in
Circumf: 104.33 in
Revs/mile: 607.31

I just installed 305/55/20's on my 06. There's no way they would have fit without the leveling kit. I installed the AS 2". Also the 285/65/20 will not fit without a leveling kit. Since the 09 is a glorified refresh, you'll definitely need a leveling kit with tires that large. They DEFINITELY give any F150 a very aggressive look and are great for states that see snow (assuming you're going with an AT tire).

Here are the Mickey Thompson's I just got :

PLEASE post some pics if you're going this route. I'd love to see an 09 with something other than those worthless Pirelli's. They'er fine for street driving ONLY, but do absolutely nothing if you step off the pavement, or hit any sort of snow.

Im going to go with the 305 55 20 Bf At or Toyo At. Weather here is really bad I hate seeing the truck dirty. I hoping someone will try fitting these on without a leveling kit. If not I ll have to wait til Icon makes a kit for the 09 s
