2009 f-150

I have been selling Fords for 15 years and I had the oppurtunity to see the new 2009 on the Michigan Proving grounds. I have some great footage and stories if anyone is interested. I drove the Chevy, and Toyota down silver creek 2 and was scared for my safety.

Youtube them vids!

& driving a new Silverado I would be scared to. You know how weak those bodys are?? The only good thing about those trucks is the 5.3L and 6.0L

A deer leaped out infront of this guy, and look what it did to the roof..

I sure would feel safe with my kid in that truck.......

Wow

Ok heres how it went down. I won a chance in a lifetime trip to go to the Michigan Proving Grounds and drive the new 2009 F150 against the competion the Chevy silverado and the Toyota. I saw what happened when the Toyota went over silver creek 2 and the it did $4800.00 damage to the truck. I honestly thought the new truck was just going to be another re-badge and they say it's all new. THIS TRUCK IS NEW, 2200 changes from the previous year! I have a limeted and I wan the new truck in platinum. Also three of the new systems that are available are the Dewalt radio system, where you start the truck and five seconds later it will tell you what tools are not in the truck. The new masterlock system with pulllocks that can secure wahtever is in the bed. Then the Criew Chief computer sys

Cheeze,

Did you get to drive one, or just see them? I'm curious how quiet they are inside, especially the Platinum. Back in 2003 they touted the all-new 2004 F-150 as being incredibly quiet, with quiet-steel and all sorts of stuff to make them very quiet. Well, my 2004 is the noisiest F-150 I've ever owned, thing rattles and squeeks like a can of nails falling down a flight of stairs, not to mention the UNGODLY constant engine whine.

So... yeh, kind of interested in hearing if these trucks are IN FACT actually quiet inside or if their talk is just like their 2004 fallacy of quietness. Hell, even the jack rattles in the 2004 and it's never been touched since ordering the truck and picking it up from the dealership.

Would love to hear any other tidbits or good info as well - talk overheard by other dealers, their impressions, etc. etc.

I think you just got a truck with first year jitters. My truck is quieter than dang near any other vehicle I've ever ridden in.

Work now!

I am at work but I will give you a play by play later, and yes we drove them like rented mules, this is the best launch by far Ford will ever have. Btw those pictures are all of us driving, not pro photos!
