Frame Twist Video & New Pics

Watch as the F150 is twisted and contorted from the rear axle. Notice how the leaf springs are able to support the entire weight of the truck. The frame has no damage after this test.

Did they actually bring the rear emblem back to normal size? Maybe it can be saved after all!

My current Ford is the only vehicle I have ever owned where you can open and close all doors when flexed out offroad without an issue. My Dodge would actually scrape the door sill

Nope, thank God. Remember when Dodge started copying Ford a few years after the 2004's came out by putting the ram head centered on their tailgates? Those things looked absolutely ridiculous, they were way too small for such a large piece of sheetmetal.

At first I wasn't fond of the look of the 09 F150, but it has grown on me. While I'm still not big on the taillights and tailgate I love how it looks in the first picture.

Nice video too BTW.

What does that really prove? Does anyone really believe they took the frame to it's limits to show it's strength? I'd prefer to see tests like that done by an independent 3rd party that has no stake in the success or failure of the vehicle.

I agree. Did you notice the chrome handles? That's a nice touch for the XLT.
