2009 F150 at the Tulsa Auto Show

Hey guys I went to the auto show yesterday to checkout the new F150 and it is a beautiful looking truck, it looks better in person than it does in photographs. I also spoke to a Ford spokesman and asked him if he knew what the specs were on the 5.4 triton motor and he told me that it would have 315-325 hp and over 400 ft. lbs of tourgue. I also asked when you can start placing orders and he said sometime in May. I did take photos by the way so here they are.

Sweet looking truck. I just wish they would change the grill on the FX4's to something a little less plastic looking. Other than that, it's going to be one bad@ss truck!

holy crap a different model! looks good. Looks like the same setup they had at the buffalo show, but we got a ****ty STX. its sweet to see how beefy the longbed 4 door looks in 4x4, i think until now we were only being supplied with pics of longbed 4 door but in 4x2. Great pics.

Thanks for the pics. The models that have the painted grill surround with the blacked out bars look SO much better to me. The chrome version just seems to overpower the truck.

The tail lights really bother me. Other than that it looks sweet.

x2, but that is definately one of the best looking models I've seen. Oh, and 400+ ft/lbs of torque, with a 6 speed??

Thanks for the pics

one of the local papers just had a write up on the new F150. although they acknowledge Ford isn't saying the HP numbers yet, they list the 5.4 at an estimated 330 hp.

Not in love with those 20" wheels. I hope the 18's are better...

Hate the tailgate with the three lines running across. And I also hate the taillights... Again: why chrome trim taillights on a FX4?

Other wise ok.

Looks good from the side. The tailgate is awful with the creases. Tail lights are ricey. Front is plasticy and cheap looking, especially the oversized grille. Interior is too busy. I do like the rims.

Yes, the rims are nice. Anyone else think the wheelwells are a tad on the large side? ( reference the side shot and the front wheelwell.)

I think they look too tall, but I prefer the lowered look.

I don't think it's a larger wheelwell, it looks like Ford leveled the '09's.

I read somewhere that since so many people came to the dealer wanting a lift installed, Ford raised the new truck 1" all the way around...These things are begging for bigger tires though.
