2009 Model Quality Center Opens (Pics)

From Truckblog....
Ford Motor Company has opened a New-Model Quality Center at the Dearborn Glass Plant in Dearborn, Michigan, aimed at helping support the quality of the newly re-designed 2009 F-150 pickup. The center is being used for training employees on the key assembly processes for the F-150, including their revolutionary frame design. “The New-Model Quality Center at the Rouge will ensure the same top quality for the new F-150 when it goes on sale next fall.” says Mark Fields, present of The Americas, Ford Motor Company.

09 because in this photo you can see that the 3rd brake light on the roof is slightly different than ours now. And the front door openings are much bigger on these 09 crew cab shells (and confirmed by the spy photo of the silver 09 Screw truck with the long front doors)

Does Ford know what an LED is?

Oh boy, does that mean we're still not using LED's for the brake lights yet? I expected them back in '04, yet even in '09 we still don't get them??? How could Ford be so far behind back then, never mind here yet again? Guess I'll hope I'm wrong, but...

Quality facility sounds like a step in the right direction, after the super squeeky and super noisy '04-'08 lineup. Time to get back to the quality of the '97-'03 line!

That is some wild stuff.. That must be one of those new lowrider F150's where they mount the axle above the frame...
