That thing sticks out like a sore thumb.

You mean by now, Ford hasn't been able to develop an electronic shifter for it? Like pushbutton select-a-gear? That's how most automatic-big-rigs are...

The tails on the new Escape went this route. I would NOT be suprised to see the F-150 go the same route (like it looks like it did). Disappointing there from an asthetics standpoint.
i like it... it looks pretty good, its not horrible. WAY WAY better looking than any other new truck on the road today

NOTE: the front door of the new crew cab is the size of the supercab doors now. NO MORE SMALL FRONT DOOR in the crew cab!!!!

The front end doesn't look all that great. The hood looks a little lower and flatter that what I was expecting. I had hoped for a really "big and bulky" Dodge style front end. However, it may partially be an illusion due to the long cab and long bed.
If this truck were photo-shopped into a shorter version, I really think it would look a whole lot better. Maybe some photo-shoppers could crop this down to a Super-Cab and overlay the current model to see how the size of the front end compares?

I'm sure the look of the 09 will grow on everyone. I remember everyone saying the same thing about the Super Duty but I still see people buying them.
I can't believe that radio stack will make it to production though. I mean I'm confident it will, but it's just not practical. There are way too many buttons and they are all so small. The one thing about truck interiors is they still need to be oversized and larger buttons. That way workers with gloves can still push everything without having to take off the gloves. '
Sure they won't be driving a Prem, but I'm sure Ford isn't going to do different radio stacks for every single model.
I like the front, I reserve judgement on the back.
I won't be trading because I can't afford to. Besides I feel like I finally got my truck looking the way I wanted. I'd hate to have to take it apart to sell it and return it to stock. Not to mention do it all over again. Though the rattle in the steering column and back window are driving me through the roof and definitely giving me the trade in urge. I just could never afford to do that.

I fell in love with the 04 f150. It did not look like anything else on the road-a truck with attractive looks. The front end in the spy pictures look ugly. The Ford design team appears to be working in reverse. I doubt the performance will be much better than my 04, and therefore I will probably stick with my 04. The only "import" thing I wish it had is the locking trunk like the Honda, and I will never give up my American vehicle for that 1 option. Again, thank you Ford for saving me some $$$$
