He's alive. HE'S ALIVE!

rambunctious!! Man, haven't seen you around in a couple years now. Back when we all used to bug you about accessories for our overhead rail system. BTW, when are those first accessories coming out? End of 2008 right before they stop making it? So odd they never did anything with the overhead rail after all the hype in the beginning. The guys who ordered the moonroof in '04 got the last laugh on that score.

Your company making anything cool for the 2009? That we'll actually get to see and buy? Hehehe.

Any insight as to whether the rear doors on the '09 F150 supercab open completely (168*+) like those on the Nissan Titan or the 2007 Chevrolet Silverado.

They're going to have to. All the other trucks do, so why not the Ford? And, the Titan is 171 degrees, where the Silverado is 168, IIRC.

Oh I see. I was missing something.

That's what I was thinking. I just wanted to see if these fellas, that are actually laying eyes on the new models, would care to comment on this.

Oh man.... I really like doors on the reg cab. You can get a TON of stuff in there that would be impossible to fit without the extra doors. And just getting the 2 doors to be bigger would be a pain the the ****. Tight parking spaces are bad enough as it is.

Yeah, I would think those doors would be great

I guess it would be a big cost savings to make the switch, aside from that it seems like a big step backwards to me...

they should've went with 2 supercab doors from the beginning, they're 6.5" longer. anyone notice the silver lightning concept truck had em and the rear doors were shortened and made permanent to the cab. i drive a supercab and like the doors much better than the crewcab doors.

*cough* DIESEL! *cough*

I think those of us who would only ever buy a SuperCrew or maybe a SuperCab if necessary and would never buy a regular cab. I think for us guys it's hard to understand how a regular cab guy would NOT want the two little doors for convience and such, because that is why we buy the ones we do. But I think most guys who buy regular cab trucks buy them for the looks and perhaps speed to some degree. Seems to me the most modded 150's I see around here are usually the reg cab models, all low slung or with crazy hoods and tailgate wings and neons or what-have-you. They seem to want a certain look, and the little doors take away from that streamlined "look" they are going for.

I never understood it either until I really started looking around and thought about it. I'll never buy one, so if having no doors helps the sales of those models, I say go for it.

Those guys can blow the doors off me as they whisk by, while I relax into my luxurious fully-loaded SuperCrew Lariat. To each his own, they both have their attraction.

If we didn't like different stuff, it's get pretty boring around here. I see some mods here that I think look awful, but at the same time I think how ingenious they were to do it and how much effort it took. I applaud those guys even though I may not like it. I love seeing 150 mods of all kinds. And hey, those guys who mod their trucks to death are the ones who help guys like us in a pinch when, say, we're trying to find a rattle and don't know how to remove the headliner. Chances are someone here has torn his down more than a few times to mod something or other.

ANYways, now I get why they want NO little doors.
