Exclusive Spy Video! 2009 Ford F-150
Can't believe we'll see the all new 09 in only @ 6.5 months!!!! Can hardly wait.
Now lets all chant:
"6.2 we need u, 6.2 we need u" and
"A diesels fine if the price is in line, a diesels fine if the price is in line".

I have to agree with others that the dash is probably a fake. However, Topleft corner 3 buttons are info center, top right has emgency flashers and possible rear window defroster.
Ill add more as I figure them out.

It looks like a Escape center stack. You can see above the 2 sets of three buttons, the dark recessed area, that has a glossy lens look to it. That's that display "Message Center" for the vehicle, Radio display, and probably climate control display info.
When Ford does stuff new and "advanced", it tends to carry over to other design teams on other vehicles.
But I do agree that the upper part of the dash seems pieced together. The overhang seems to be a bit much.

There is no way the 6.2 is a larger 5.4. Not enought room between cylinders for increased bore. Would have to be all longer stroke, and these engines are already very tall. This is why they just added 2 cylinders and made a V10 for larger applications as opposed to making it a V8 back in 98.

assumption - dash
When you say awful, are you referring to the dash or the exterior? because you can't see jack of the exterior yet. But I agree with the dash. But I am keeping in mind this is just another test mule and the end results could (and hopefully will) be much cleaner and refined. Besides, there still doesn't seem to be placement for the NAV on this mule, so even if this does go into production, it may be only on the trucks without the NAV option. And I certainly wouldn't ever buy another vehicle without NAV, it would be like having a vehicle without EATC. Could you imagine it? Ack.
Now hopefully, we'll continue to get little snippets from Screwbuilder and rambunctious to whet our appetites until Ford unveils more itself. Long as they don't get in trouble and it keeps us excited, it's all good.

Nav is for people who can't find there way around. Who needs it
The most useless feature I can think of on a vehicle.Total fluff or bling
Perhaps for some people you are correct.
My job as a Training Manager requires me to travel to different stores in MA and CT. Having my portable Garmin GPS is nice in my '04, but I'd much rather have it factory option. Clean install, always there when you need it.
It certainly makes me feel better having that GPS when I'm in unfamiliar territory!

GMC/Chevrolet both have two different dash options.
Sounds like a good idea expcept to get the 6-disk changer, one has to go to the upscale dash. To get the upscale dash one has to purchase a much more expensive truck. In theory good, in practicality, it really stinks.
Any of the base line GMC/Chevrolet do not offer the 6-disk changer. Ford does now. I hope Ford does not go in this direction.

i like it when GM guys say the ford interior is below the GM in quality. IF you compare the different levels, still theyre wrong i believe. Look at the bench seat ford to bench seat chevy radio and center console area.
Ford :
Chevy :
It just looks better quality,i still think the chevy interior is nice because i like the truck all around, but fords just looks higher quality for the bench seat.
Center 2 front seat setup
Ford :
Chevy :
Ford definitly wins in this one..
