I choose #5- all of the above. Because we all need choices........
Personally never had a diesel, but might try one in an F150.

I guess the diesel

but I would realy like to see a 6 liter in line 6 cyl gasoline with cross flow heads and maybe double over head cams and a turbo option. and sense this is going to be a Farley low RPM motor a 8 speed trainsmition with 1st being a Granny of 6.0/1 and both 7 and 8th being OD with .75/1 and .55/1

this would be my dream come true

4.4L Diesel, diesel is cheaper, and it would be cool to have a diesel in a 1/2 Ton truck

For now!

I want a diesel F150 as well, but I'm guessing diesel will be back up above gas in price again. Around here, it is always higher than gas in the winter.

6.2L!! if it really belts out 425HP/450TRQ stock, imagine the possibilities when Troyer gets a hold of it!!

The Boss engine will reportedly displace 6.2 L (379 in³, 6208 cc) upon introduction, with the ability to exceed 7.0 L in future applications, and produce more than 425 hp (317 kW) and 425 ft·lbf (576 N·m).
I think everybody is misinterpreting the output of the Boss 6.2 engine. I think they're saying the 6.2 L can be increased (by boring or stroking) to a 7.0 L in future applications which can produce more than 425 hp and 425 ftlbs of torque. It's the 7.0 L not 6.2 L.

I will have to pick a Diesel any day over a gasser. If I could have afforded a Super Duty PSD, I would not be driving an F150. Not that I need the stump pulling ability of a Super Duty, even that is a good thing, but fuel availability in an emergency situation. Simply put, during the Hurricane Rita evacuation, I was stuck in Lufkin TX because I couldn't get gasoline to get back home. They couldn't hardly give the Diesel away...

And top that off with improved MPG, better drivetrain durability etc...

I absolutely love my F150, but if they offered a similar truck with a Diesel that I could afford, and had similar performance characteristics, I would gladly trade my gasser in...
