You realize these are required by law in Ontario right? If you do disable them, be prepared to be pulled over... often.

I always run with the foglights on, the law states that 2 white emitting lights must always be on, 2 foglights is fine!

Yeah, I just discovered that the foglights will stay on with the headlights off but only in Park. I noticed this when I was waiting for my wife in a parking lot.

It's required by Alberta law, too and the CMVSS (which doesn't mean it's right). I've never been pulled over and I killed my DRLs about 3 months after I bought my truck at the end of '08.

Put HID headlights and foglights in today, so no more DRL's anyways!

It can be disabled in the personality section of the pcm. Good luck finding a dealer to do it for you. Maybe tell them you are moving to the U.S.

Weird. I drive with my lights on day or night. Anything I can do to make myself more visible to traffic, that's what I do.

What are you, 12? All those HIDs did is make you look like a complete tool.

I think sometimes we just like to do the opposite of what we are told, just like my kids. DRL's are a safety feature and I know I would forget to turn on fog lights every time I drove.

Anyways. Since you're obviously a bit ignorant on the subject, not all HID's are the same. You can buy HID lights in different color temps for different effects - the "tools" you reference are (in my mind) the guys that have colored/offensive lights.

If adding HID's for more effective lighting makes you a tool, then what does a lift kit and 35's that'll never see dirt make most of this forum?
