Thumbs up 04 with SmartShift!

I was showing my Dad the a printout of the new sketch and was telling him that I might be getting one if it looks like the sketch. I was also telling him that I wanted to see if I could special order a 5 speed Manual Trans with a 4x4 5.4 V8

BUT! Then I thought...what if they make the automatic with that SmartShift! This would be soooooo f'n BAD!!! Would you guys be interested to have a auto/manual transmission??? and switch whenever you wanted to? and then change gears with a tap up or down? YEAH I WOULD!

This is one of the reasons I bought a V6 (for the 5spd manual) since I tow. Anyway, sorry but I had to share my thoughts...I'm just really excited about this new truck and I hope that I'm not let down with the actual style!

I think it would be very awesome. I have been considering a BMW M3 for either their Autostick or even better the paddle shift $2400 option. They have a TLA (Three Letter Abreviation) for it, but I do not remember what it is. Just remembered. S.M.G.

You could have the best of both worlds if they do make them that way but I can see it as one big problem they should just leave it the way they been doing it for years.

Talking

What about dumping the clutch and lightin' em up? I have a 2000 supercab w/ a 4.6 and a manual gearbox. I love having a clutch. Sometimes in traffic I wish I had an automatic until I get off the pavement and let the dirt fly. It makes doughnuts a whole lot easier too. Leave the tiptronic transmissions in the sportscars for the guys who wear sweater vests.

I don't need no stinkn' clutch! All I have to do is put the hammer to the floor to light'em up.

What I'd like to see is the Torqshift that's going behind the new Stroker. That sounds like an awesome tranny.
