No power in reverse
No power in reverse
I have a 2007 F150 5.4l supercrew cab 4x4 with 3:55 ratio differential. New reman motor from ford with all new sensor’s except knock sensors. Cats have been replaced. I pull a camper weights in at 7k and the truck is at 6 k combined 13k, 1400 lbs under max load for this truck. Pulling the camper on the beach going forward not a problem or on the highway other than it’s working to pull it and not using overdrive. But going in reverse on the beach in the sand throttle to the floor the truck laughs at me it just bogs no power at all I have to rock it back and forth to get it to move. I’m I asking to much of the truck or do I have a problem the old motor did the same thing. No codes using 89 octane fuel no misses. Do I have a problem.

I’m not sure, it does not slip and first gear does brake after acceleration if it’s slipping I would think the rpm’s would climb, it’s almost as if the air filter was clogged, but it’s not. Maybe it’s at its limits, just looking for some answers!
