2007 5.4L F150, No Start
I'm helping my son with his 2007 Ford F150. It has the 5.4L V8 3V Flex Fuel engine. I currently believe there is no spark (research tells me this is very unlikely on a "COP controlled by the PCM" design.) Some background and tests that have been done:
About 3 months ago, the truck was parked because it needed brake work (pad to rotor is metal to metal). After 5 weeks, he went to start it and the battery was dead (frozen - it's January in the midwest). He replaced it with a new battery. It started and he let it run for 45 minutes and then shut it off. The next day it cranked but would not start. It sat about another 6 weeks and he asked for my help. Troubleshooting revealed a corroded FPDM. This was replaced and the fuel pump now runs (the fuel pump and filter was replaced about 8 months ago). Still will not start.
With the key on, the Anti-Theft light goes out on the dash, so I don't believe the PATS is tripped.
When turning the key on, the check engine light comes on, so I believe the PCM is getting power and working.
When cranking, the tachometer jumps up, so I believe the crankshaft sensor signal is present.
Pulled and inspected all 2-prong mini-fuses in the fusebox on the passenger-side footwell.
Sprayed carb cleaner into PCV valve port on intake while cranking - no attempt to fire.
Verified there is 12VDC on one wire on COP of cylinder 1.
Attached test light across the two leads of COP cable on both Cylinder 1 and Cylinder 7, and while cranking no flickering was observed.
Inspected ground connections on firewall on both sides of PCM - look normal (no corrosion, no looseness).
Unplugged and inspected all three large PCM electrical connectors - looked clean and normal.
Borrowed a scan-tool from a friend - ran a "Pre Scan - I have not made repairs yet" and got codes:
Thank you very much for your time and help!

Thank you. Will clear the codes, crank, and re-check. Correct, no spark when cranking. (It might be a day or two until I get to it, we're currently in a winter storm / no travel advised situation, then time to catch up with snow removal, work, etc). Will post as soon as I know more.

Just a quick follow-up to this. Life got in the way and the truck sat for several weeks. Eventually, my son replaced the battery (on a day above freezing), and it started right up!! At this point he's happy. Time will tell if there's any surprises, but hopefully this is the end of this particular job. Thank you for all your help, thoughts, and advice.
