1st gen Raptor seats in 06 Lariat
Hello fellow truckers,
I recently acquired a set of front seats from a 1st Gen Raptor. They are in great shape and everything seems to work. With a little trial and error, I have them installed and working, except for the heat. My original seats had working heat, so I know I need to connect a few wires to activate the controller for it in the seats. I am wondering if I need to install the controller from the 06 Leather seats, or If I can tap into those in the raptor seats (essentially 10-14 seats). If I need to jump to a different area in the forum, I can, but just looking for some insight in case someone else has made a swap from 04-08 power seats to 09-14 power seats.
FYI, my original seats are perfect, and I even reupholstered the drivers seat bottom, along with new foam. Unfortunately, this raised the seat cushion height and put my 6'8" head to the roof (it has factory sunroof). So, rather than mangle the new seat padding to accommodate, I found the pair of front seats for $100. They have red inserts, which I am dyeing brown to match the lariat wood trim.
Thanks for any advice!
