Fuel Issue

Truck died on me last week while driving down hwy. Turned around and went home and died about 8 more times on the way. Called a friend with a code reader and got a code for p0191 fuel rail sensor. Replaced that and same thing happened. Got a new code for o2 sensors. Took it to a shop and had them look, they said it was the runner valve on the back of intake manifold. Replaced the runner valve and back to square 1 with the p0191 code again. The shop loved telling me that they have a $12K scanner. Can anyone help me with this w/o throwing more parts at it that's not needed?

Read this.

It appears low fuel pressure can give you this code. I don't suppose the mechanic connected a gauge to the fuel line to determine the pressure.
Inspect the FPDM for corrosion.

They claimed that the filter was good, and I replaced the FPDM yr. and a half ago.

It was the FPDM. Luckily the part store let me return the fuel rail pressure sensor.

Not surprising if it was a Dorman.
