06 Airbag code 24

Hello
Got my 06 XLT 4.6L flashing an airbag error code 24. I took it to the dealer but they couldn't find anything, said "no codes stored." I checked my vin for any recalls and it doesn't have that clock spring recall. It usually comes on after I've been driving a while and not every time. Anything I could do?

Thanks

Double-check your flash code. "24" does not appear as a possible lamp fault code on an 06 F150 according to the service manual.

Hello
So i just got Forscan and its giving me RCM errors B2296 and B1318. I've replaced the front impact sensor already, should I clear these codes and see if it pops up again?

Thanks

Code definitions:

B1318 - Continuous Battery Voltage Low - CHECK battery voltage. Should be above 9.0 volts.
B2296 - LFC 42 - Restraint System — Impact Sensor Fault (Front Impact Severity Sensor Circuit Fault)

The second code indicates a CIRCUIT FAULT with the front impact severity sensor, it did not say the sensor is bad (although it one of the possibilities).

I would do a battery and alternator test (free at most auto stores).

I would also check for wiring loom problems (such as rodent damage or cut/nicked/chaffed wires) as well as grounds. Including fuse box corrosion on those particular circuits. Check connectors loose/bent/corroded pins.

Yes, wiring problems are sometimes a PITA, but if you want the light and codes to go away, it may require some work other than shotgunning at replacing items....
