Idle issues

I have a 07 Ford F150 5.4 triton 4x4. When I am at idle 750 rpm's to 1000 rpm's either in drive or reverse engine starts to sputter and will shut off if i don't press the gas pedal to raise rpm's how do I fix this issue. Truck runs great only at idle do I have this problem. I have taken off the throttle body and the maf sensor and cleaned them both did a throttle body relearn according to ford but issue still there. Any ideas what is causing and how to fix would be very helpful appreciated.

It may be time for a timing component job. Chains, tensioners, guides, phasers, VCT solenoids, and high volume oil pump. You may have damaged the throttle body if you didn't clean it properly:

Idle issues

Timing chain and guides are good a friend of mine replaced the chain and guides a couple months ago the tensioner's idle pulley somehow got slanted and cut thru timing chain cover had to replace all that. What are the phasers.

The phasers are part of the variable cam timing system, they are what the chains go around on the front of the camshafts. There are also VCT solenoids that operate them. The phasers and solenoids should be replaced using Motorcraft parts when you do a timing job, and a Melling high volume oil pump is recommended.
