Hello. I know these codes are worn out on here but nothing is hitting my problem. 08 f150 5.4. Had the timing replaced a year ago and they didn't replace the oil pump. After the oil thinned down, the problem was back. I replaced the oil pump myself. Got these codes after the oil pump installed. Oil pressure is at 25lbs and the death shakes are gone. Swapped cps and it didn't change. Next i pulled the vc and checked the timing on the phaser and the "fingers", both dead on. Replaced the vct while i was in there. Still showing same codes. Battery went dead about a month ago. Bought a new one last Thursday and now it's dead. Could it be a short in the cps or vct wires? Can i put a jumper wire between cps or vct to the ecm eliminating their wiring? Oh yeah, 300,000+ on the motor and still strong. I don't want to give up on this motor. TIA

 

There are lots of videos on youtube showing methods of finding parasitic electrical draws on the battery. I suggest you try to fix that problem first and it may fix your codes issues.

 

Im thinking the same thing. think i will try to jump the cps wires from plug to ecm eliminating their wire and might do the same to the vct. Too hard to go thru the wiring harness behind motor.
