installing a 2006 f150 bumper on a 2005 f150
Hi everyone. I am new here and have a question or two on installing a 2006 f150 front bumper on a 2005 f150. After reading all the other posts on here I understand that the bumpers will swap as long as the I have the 2006 bumper and 2006 bumper brackets. I see a list of part numbers for brackets and bolts and other items needed to do the swap. If I understand the posts it advises to buy all the brackets and smaller size bolts required for the 2006 bumper to mount to the 2005 truck. I am wondering if this list of parts is needed if one buys the bumper new. I am taking the 2006 bumper of a truck and can get all the bolts and brackets that come with 2006 right as I remove the 2006 bumper of the other truck. SO will the 2006 brackets and bolts I take off the 2006 truck fit my 2005 ???. I think as long as I have all the brackets and bolts of the 2006 I would not need to buy any new brackets. I am also going the need the Valance piece and a new headlight and fender . All the parts of the 2006 should swap to the 2005 ? Thank you ahead of time for any and all help and advise.
Also my 2005 does not have fog lights at the moment and the 2006 bumper has fog lights already. Some say there maybe wiring tucked away under my truck somewhere. Does anyone know if there is wiring already under my 2005 and also my headlight switch in the 2005 does not have a fog light option. I can take the switch out of the donor 2006 which has the fog lights and put it in my 2005. Is this a doable option or do I need to wire the fog lights into some existing lighting wiring and if so where can I find out how to hook it up. Thank you all again for any and all help.

The fog light function is just a pull on the **** when head lights are "on". Check yours, just turn headlights on, then gently pull the **** out to see if it "clicks"
I don't know if your truck will have the wiring though, but clues as to where to look for plugs can be found on that other truck what had fog lights. Then, look up the fuses and relays in the book.
It would not be hard to wire in a dedicated switch controlling the added fop lights via a fused relay.
