Horn Relay

Good afternoon all. I have a 06 XLT super crew 4x4. It looks like the previous owner tried replacing the horn relay(the one that is soldered the the board). Here is my question, is it possible to bypass the replay completely or do I have to pull the box to solder in a new relay or replace the entire unit?

I am assuming you don't have a working horn?

You can bypass the relay by using bodge wires from the circuit board.

First I would check the clock spring.

Easiest would be to replace the entire board from a junk yard.

Correct, my horn does not work. I tried the junkyard route and ended up with 12 codes being thrown from various fuses. Changed them and the codes came back so I'm assuming it's a bad board. Good news, the horn started working so I know it is the current board.

You probably found a truck that got flooded at the junk yard.

I would go back and get 2 or 3 of them and find one that works.

I know my junk yards around here offer a 30 day money back. It's come in handy.
