Keyless receiver module issues I think.

Can anyone tell me how to test the Keyless Receiver Module and its location. I have a 2007 F150 STX Special Edition with a 5.4 3V Triton motor, its a super cab with all 4 doors having electric windows. My new FOB wouldn't work from a distance further than 5 ft. So I bought another pack of 2 and was able to enter programming cycle and program 2 new FOBS and put brand new energizer batteries in both and they won't work past 5 feet. Charging system and truck battery operating as they should.

Before doing anything else, make sure that you do not have any aftermarket electronics active in the truck. Things like cheap USB adapters, wireless charging devices, or other aftermarket items can cause interference preventing proper operation of the RKE system.

Is the a new issue or one that has been present since you acquired the truck?

Do you live near any TV or radio broadcast towers? Does the symptom persist if your try it somewhere several miles away?

it's a new issue. I bought the truck brand new and have replaced just about every major component or parts. This started about a month ago. I live in the country so thats not it.
