Recently I locked both my keys in my F150 while doing some maintenance to it. My dad has a slim jim and suggested we try that to save cash on calling a locksmith. We were able to get the door unlocked after several tries, but now the key won't unlock the door. I took panel off the passenger side door to work on it and I see the latch that has come undone, but I'm having the hardest time figuring out where's its suppose to go by feel and all of the videos and articles I see online have to do with power locks.

Any suggestions or anyone know where I could find a diagram of this locking mechanism?
