I had 35x12.50x18 on stock wheels my '04 FX4 SC. It rubbed a little on tight turns. I tied the fender liners back with cable ties to the body mounts. The tires looked dumb on OE wheels, so I bought wider wheels that flushed the tires with the flares. I had to trim just a little of the plastic OE fender flares behind the tires. 0 rubbing

From my fuzzy memory, I believe that a leveling kit will allow up to 33" tire, and a 6"+ lift kit allows up to 35" tire.

Look up some of the older threads on your 2.5" kit.
