Timing chain

2005 f-150 5.4 3v
i just changed the phaser on the driver side, while I was putting the new one in the chain dropped and when I picked it back up it spun 3 chain links. The crank never moved and the cam stayed in the same position. Do I need to retime it? Never done it before. Got it all put back together just didn’t want to turn it over without a little advise.

Yes, you need to retime it.
