I have aftermarket front shocks right now that have a built-in lower spring seat. I'm planning on changing them out for Bilstein 4600 that don't come with the lower seat. Anyone have the seats they'd be willing to part with? Any other options other than getting a pair of struts from a junk yard?

My truck is a Fx4. Will the spring seats need to be from another Fx4 or will a 2 wheel drive truck work too?

 

Not 100% sure, but I am pretty sure they use the same seats. Might first check local shops and even Ford dealer's trash pile for take offs from other customers? Just approach them like a car guy. I've known some mechanics toss parts like that in a box for rainy days.
