Need a battery
That's it, my current one doesn't have good current, do I have to have 650 CCA?
I can get an Interstate battery at COSTCO that puts out 590 CCA for $79.00.
Or, I can get one at Advanced Automotive that has 650 CCA for basically the same price.
Another up, Advanced installs, COSTCO doesn't. Downside is, the Advanced battery isn't an Interstate but rather their Autocraft house brand.
Advance breaks down like this...
Or, fork over $101.99 to Advance and walk away with an installed battery, 90 day replacement (if defective),
Money's tight, I haven't worked since November 2019, advice?
Personally, I'm leaning towards the Advanced battery, but I've been wrong before.

Wally World may have closed their auto service centers but Super Target sell batteries in their main stores. Those are still open in this area. I've used their batteries (EverStart) and I have no complaints.
I wouldn't take a battery from Advance if you gave it to me! They started buying batteries made by Johnson Controls. (not the brand but the actual manufacturer) and the last six of them that I had all died sudden deaths within days of buying them.

You can still buy batteries from Walmart but you can't get them installed.
I show a Walmart EverStart Value 650 CCA battery for your truck (Group 65) for $54.88. It also shows more expensive Group 58, 59, and 65N batteries but the search tool for a 2005 F150 5.4 comes up with all those groups.

When I was recovering from Gall Bladder removal surgery recently, my wife's 2013 Infiniti battery died. I was prohibited to lifting anything that heavy so I checked with two local parts stores. One only had the Optima for megabucks. The other had the Optima and a less expensive battery but it was still over $150. I checked with Walmart and they had one with more rated power for less than $100 so I sent her there to get it installed.
The Everstart did good in the attached video battery test.

The way I see it, get the $54.88 EverStart if money is tight. It's 650 CCA and not that bad a battery even though it's made by Johnson Controls. It's a Value, not a Maxx. 1 year warranty is the only downside, you get what you pay for.
