Buyer Beware - Go Rhino 3000/3289 for 2006 - 2008 F150

Be careful when ordering Go Rhino 3000 / 3289 for 2006 - 2008 F150. Every advertisement of the Go Rhino 3000 for the 2006 - 2008 F150 shows the sides parallel with each other. Even the installation instructions included with the product shows the sides straight or parallel. I could not find a single forum post, sellers image, YouTube video or even from the manufacturer that showed that the sides flared out as they do. I did see that the Westin Guard looked like this and I did not want that look.
I was disappointed when I started to assemble the guard and realized it was not what I ordered. The company I bought it from said that the image posted on their site was a representation and was not to be used to determine the actual product. WHAT! When I called the seller Auto Anything, they reiterated that the photo may not be the actual product. Then they said I could return it with 20% restocking. So I paid $300 and to return it would be $60.

Go Rhino 3000 on 2007 F150. Go Rhino

This is what I thought I was buying but the sides flare out and wrap around the grill of my 2007 F150

I think it looks great …. without the light up on top. I think the light detracts from it, I'd look at mounting it in the bumper slot instead, mount my tag below it. If the light is strictly off road, I'd use strong magnets to mount a metal shelf like and put plugs on the leads and carry the light in a box under the rear seat until needed.

I've thought about one, but I what do it look like from the side, like in "profile"? Wonder if they make it in chrome even?

Thank you for the heads up post.

I think it fits the vehicle fine.

Looks good to me. Matches up with the lines to follow the grill.

If you don't like it, send it my way... I'll take it for free.

Thanks! I agree, It does look good. I've been playing around with different places for the light bar.
