Steering Issue

As glc indicated, check your power steering fluid. Probably needs to be flushed. Here is a video that generally shows how to do it.
When I do it, I don't disconnect the crankshaft position sensor to keep it from starting. I just floor the gas pedal and then crank the motor for 10-15 seconds each sequence I am flushing the fluid. Pressing the gas pedal all the way down before turning the key on will keep it from getting spark and starting the motor. You can also use a turkey baster type suction device and drain all the fluid from the reservoir. Drain and refill each time you change your oil and you will never have to worry about whether you have good power steering fluid. But since yours is already having symptoms, I would fully flush the system with new fluid.
