Truck will not shift out of park. 2006 ford 150

I've checked the fuse, white release button, bushing on brake cable. Any other suggestions?

Try looking at the linkage on the transmission. See if it will move.

Are you parked on a hill?

Not parked on a hill, I will see about checking out the linkage on the transmission. Thanks for your suggestion.

I forgot to add, before you start messing with the linkage, make absolute sure your wheels are chocked and the parking brake is set. I would hate to see you get pinned under your truck.

u can pull up on the console cover and when u see everything below there is a white tab on the driver side. Press it down!
