No cruise 2005 f150

I have a problem . My 2005 f150 I just bought had no cruise. I have checked all the normal issues brake lights all working including 3rd brake light, brake pedal switch, switch above the brake pedal. ABS all working. Interlocking switch working. Checked all fuses. Horn works. I do not have any power going to my cruise control on off switch on the steering wheel. Any ideas what else I could check to rectify the problem. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I would try replacing the switch in the steering wheel. I had to take my steering wheel off the other day on my 08 to replace the turn signal switch, and once you get the air bag out there is only two bolts that you have to take off the switch. Pretty simple.

That doesn't make sense - why would you replace the switch if there's no power going to it? The problem is before the switch if that's the case.

Did you take the switch off and use a test light to check the power? How'd you determine that?

2005 Ford f150

Yes I took my airbag off and checked for power. My turn signal switch works perfect. The cruise on/off switch tested out ok with my multimeter. I used a test light and I have no power going to the switch I even used a multimeter on the wired also no voltage coming to the switch at all. I'm having a funny suspicion that it's my ring switch if that's what it's called. According to what I have researched that the cruise gets its power from the horn. My horn works fine. But thanks for the input. I just do jot want to take it in to Ford as it will cost me a arm and a leg. I am pretty mechanically incline and can tackle anything. This just has me puzzled. It's probably something simple and I just have not found it. Was hoping someone else had the same issue and had a solution.
