2007 F150 Numeric Keypad problem

2007 F150 250K Miles Running great looks good
Numeric Key Pad quit working. When I depress each individual button one at a time they all light up except the 1-2 button. The factory code and my personal code both contain a #1. Naturally if 1-2 don't light up I assume that button is the problem. I understand how to remove the key pad. Is it possible that the 1-2 button can be repaired/cleaned and made to function again? From what I have found a new key pad cost + - $ 50.00. mose56 in Phoenix

The 10-12 fusions had the same pad setup and one of the buttons quit lighting up on my 11, but the button still worked. The light is just that, a light. It does not tie in with the function of the button. Try it and see if yours still works.

You could always change your personal code to not include the 1/2 button, if it bothers you that much.

AFAIK, the keypad module is not serviceable and only comes as a complete unit.

Thumbs down Numeric Entry Key Pad

Thanks
That is the problem. The 1-2 button is a part of the Mfg. Code and a part of my Personal Code. It does not work, I am unable to activate the lock or unlock with either code, idiicating it does not work. Hence the Light does not go on when you depress it.

Well it sounds like you need a new keypad then. On the fusion I had when you press any button, all 5 would light up, until the one light burned out. On yours if you press another button do the rest still light up?

When you depress the (1-2) button none of the other buttons light up including the (1-2) button. When you depress any of the other buttons (3-4), (5-6), (7-8) and (9-0) individually they all light up including the (1-2) button. Again the Mfg Code and my personal code include a 1 therefor I am unable to unlock with the Mfg Code, my Personal Code or change my Personal code. I think at this point I am going to remove the Button Assy. temporarly cover the opening, and spend a little time getting a little deeper into the inside of the (1-2) button. Thanks mose56
