Truck rolled 200k!

So, against all odds my truck rolled 200K miles this weekend! I never thought it would make it, but it did so while driving through a blizzard in Lake Tahoe!

I still refer to her as Christine though! She still idles rough, uses a quart of oil every 1k miles, and has a leaky rear end. I'm now putting 350 miles a week on her...so let's see how much longer she lasts!

Regards!

200K huh? What's been done to her major like?

I have a buddy with a low miles '13 5.0 uses that much oil and it's under 50K?

Congratulations! I hope I am so lucky to make it that long. I have almost 90k on my '08 now. Good luck!

Congrats on the milestone -- one morning you will probably wake up and realize, "You know -- I'm getting sick of this truck!"

The wife and I have loved our vacations up at Tahoe -- we've only been in the summer though and always say we'd like to spend a weekend there in the winter just to see what it's like!

As I said...against all odds...

At 51K Transmission went
At 81k Something caused the passenger side head and cat to fry...replaced under warranty
179k Cam phasers and VCT Solenoids
2 sets of spark plugs 81k and 178k
4 sets of tires
numerous brake jobs and oil changes every 5-6k milles

The last 120k were better than the first 80k After the repair at 80k I didn't think it would make it to 100k...

Congratulations! Some folks would have traded it at 51k when the transmission went. Sounds like you got your money's worth out of it after all!

Congrats. I came close to the 200k mark in my 05 traded it in at 198310 on the clock in January of last year. Just rolled the vehicle I replaced it with over the 100k mark a couple weeks ago it had 65k when I got it. Which is a 2012 Mustang GT 6 speed manual. Now that I have it over the 100k mark thinking of getting back into a truck hopping to find a good deal on a low mileage 2011 to 2014 4x4 XLT with the ecoboost engine if I get a truck anytime soon.

I almost did get rid of it at 51k...I always swore I would not keep making payments on something that had to be towed...I still swear that it got its best gas mileage on the back of a tow truck!
