Wheel Bearing Question

Wheel Bearing Question
I have 2004 f150 2x4 with a front passenger wheel bearing going out and I have seen some places want to sell a complete hub with rotor and I have seen where some people will just have a new bearing installed which seems to be much cheaper. If just the bearing is installed is that something a machine shop would have to press in? Thanks for any help.

I did just the wheel bearings on my 2004 Supercrew. If I had to do it over again, it would get a new hub assembly and new rotors on the front. It's FAR less work if you're doing it in the driveway and easier to replace all of it and be done. I would do new pads too. If one side is bad, the other side is right behind it so do both sides if you can afford it. Just make sure that the calipers are supported while you work. If it falls, you'll most likely have to have the brakes power bled to get back to right. Here's a Youtube on it.
