Urgently Need Help!!

Like a dummy I worked on the truck the night before work and now my truck won't start! I have a F150 2008 and replaced the steering wheel with a new one. I followed the Youtube video to a T. Have everything back together and when I turn the key nothing. Lights on, battery good everything. Took steering wheel back apart and checked all connections and tried again and nothing. What did I do? Is there something about the airbag or something that keeps the truck from starting. I am so screwed. Hope someone can help

Thanks!!

If the new steering wheel was off a truck with different steering wheel-controlled options I think your PCM may need to be re-flashed for everything to communicate. It's possible that is the case with your truck. Did you try just putting the old steering wheel back on?

No will do that this morning. It had nothing on the steering wheel just the frame. I had to take everything off my old steering wheel and put it on the new. The new one is just metal and leather, pretty basic. If anyone else has heard of this please let me know. If the old steering wheel works I will let you know.

Thanks

Well if the "guts" of your original steering wheel were swapped to the new one then a reflash is not the issue -- you're sure you are not re-using any control buttons or wiring that came with the new wheel?

For what it's worth.. I changed out my steering wheel for a leather and woodgrain many years ago and I didn't have any issues at all with the installation, steering wheel controls or anything. There was no PCM reflashing needed.

Yes thats the one I got. The woodgrain and leather. So I put old wheel back on and same thing. Went and got new battery just incase and nothing. Here is what is odd. The battery light stays on now. The radio seems to reboot itself overtime I turn the ignition back on like the battery was disconnected. All other lights and gauges are fine. When I go to crank it the starter never engages. Could this be a fuse?
