Question Dangling ground strap

Hello all,

I pulled my transmission out to rebuild it and noticed a ground strap, disconnected on one end, just dangling. I know the previous owner had pulled the motor in order to rebuild it, but I don't know where this ground strap is supposed to be. Maybe it doesn't even belong in its current location. Anyway, I'm hoping someone here can take a look under the hood of their truck and tell me where mine should be connected.

I did notice a bolt on the firewall that appears to be for a ground, but has nothing connected to it. Maybe my dangling ground goes there or I am completely missing a ground.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

My truck is a 2005 F150, 5.4L, 4x4.

Thanks in advance.

Todd

Oh I see it now, looks like it would go up to the firewall. That would be a redundant engine ground wire.
