Stock Ford Rims

Does anybody have problems with leaks around the bead on their stock Ford rims? I am constantly filling my tires with air, and its not the tires because this is the second set I've had on. I have never experienced this on any vehicle before now and I've been putting up with this problem on the truck for years now. Who makes the best rims PERIOD? Money is not an issue. I want them to be the same size as the stock 20s I have on now. Must have a weight rating equal to or greater than the stock ones I have now also.

I just want to get in and drive and not have to fight the truck pulling to one side of the road until I hit an air pump.

No problem here either .... 07 FX4 with OEM 20s.

I have had the occasional tire valve stem leak at the base where it's was pulled into place. I've had it happen even with near new ones that just didn't fit tight enough. Recently had one on my '95 Bird which leaked so slow it would not even make bubbles, but in a week it'ld be low enough to pull. Spent am hour one day going over tread and beads with soapy water and even the new valve stem. I finally found that if I wiggled the stem I could see a bubble so I replaced the stem again ..... and end of leak.

My '06 Explorer has corrosion on the rim at the bead which has caused slow leaks. Had the tire dismounted and wheeled off the corrosion and it'll be good for about a year. Only have the problem on one wheel.
Yes, it is annoying having to air up all of the time, especially winter.

Is this moreso a winter problem? Obviously, as temperatures drop, so does your psi.

That said, I check mine evey couple weeks, but only need to fill up when the temps drop in the late fall/winter. During the summer, they hold pressure for months.

Both my original steel and my current chrome clad have not had any issues. Are you sure yours aren't leaking from the valve stems?

^^any good tire shop have that right next to the wheel mounting machine.

This can happen to steal(rust) and aluminium(corrosion too) wheel.

salt corode aluminium and then make it way to the bead slowly.
Just have the tire unmount, wire wheeled the bead, remount and balanced and you'll be fine.
