Reset code for keypad

Just got a 2008 f-150.. has the keypad but not sure what the code is.

Any suggestions on reset? I read somewhere that code is apart of a sticker behind the cab rear seats

Any help would be appreciated. thanks.

Hi mrWiggy,

Keyless Entry codes can be obtained from your dealership by using diagnostic equipment; keep in mind that there may be a charge for this service. For security reasons, this information can only be provided to you in person by visiting the dealership. Once at the dealership, you will be required to produce two pieces of information:

- Personal Identification such as a valid Driver's License or a state-issued picture I.D.
- The vehicle's documentation with the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) and the name of the person seeking the key codes. Examples could include: a current Vehicle Registration, current Certificate of Automobile Insurance, Vehicle Title, or Bill of Sale.

The factory keypad code is printed on a label stuck onto the exterior of the VSM. The VSM is mounted behind the back seat for SCAB and SCREW models and behind the LH B-pillar trim panel for regular cabs.

What you said; I think it's called the BCM though(Body control module).

BTW it is a little tricky to get that seat out if it's on the back wall, there is a thread on here(do a search) that has pictures and good instructions to get it out.

Ford calls it the Vehicle Security Module (VSM).

This particular era of F150s didn't have a "body control module" by any name. Those started around 2010 MY. For '03 and prior, they used the GEM module for many body functions (but not RKE).
