04 f150 stx 4x4 WONT START
the truck has a 2v 5.4 in a new body. came with a 2v 4.6...
truck wont start. it had the check engine light on for gas cap recently.
im thinking it s the fuel pump. i tried changing the fuel filter but cant get the "quick" disconnect off the one side.
gas does flow out of filter when half removed when key is primed. maybe low pressure? going to rent gauge and check
possibly bad crank sensor or ignition module?
i did not check spark yet.
it cranks, it wants to start.
what should i try next????
thanks in advance

There's no place to connect a fuel pressure gauge on a 04 NBS, the only way to check the pressure is with a OBD2 scanner.
Check the FPDM, they are subject to corrosion. Its bolted to the frame above the spare tire. Unbolt it and look at the backside.

hey,
its my truck, i had login issues before.
i have a SCT tuner. it throws no codes. it seems like it only does it after a rain.
a evap control code came up twice randomly, i think its unrelated.
i could have sworn i saw a schrader valve on the fuel rail, it in fact does not.
i think GLC was right again on the FPDM. im going to spend the $60 for a new one and hope for the best. thanks, ill keep you guys posted...
