17" to 18" rim now low pressure sensor wont deactivate

Hey guys need some help PLEASE
I changed from the stock 17" ford rims to a set of 18" rims
and now the low tire pressure sensor wont turn off

the stock rims were on my 2007 F150 STX
the 18" rims were from a 2014 F150

from what I read they have the same sensor and they arent low so what do I do to make this stop.

You would have to take it to ford and have them reset the sensors and synced with the truck since it's a completely different sensor.

As far as I know no. When I had my sensors put on my new rims I had to take it to ford and have them reset the psi since i went from running a 45 psi on stocks to 30 psi on my mudders I had. They did it for me for free. So they shouldn't charge you for it as far as I know.

They do not have the same sensors. Your 07 has a band that's wrapped around the inside of the wheel, and the 09+, they're in the valve stems. I'm not sure they're compatible with each other. .

Your best bet is to take the sensors off your 17" wheels and install them on your new wheels with new bands.

All 4 need to have bands to work correctly with the truck. I do not believe the valve stem style will work on your generation truck.

Weird. My 2008 uses bands for all 4 wheels (all 07 and 08's do). 09+ switched to valve stem tpms and I've heard they're not compatible.

If you can get all 4 band style tpms on your new wheels, you won't have a problem. If they're not the ones that came on your truck from the factory, they will need to be relearned though.

I want to get another set of rims for my truck, same size (17"), but I need to find exactly what part # is for my truck. Mine's a 2007.

And here's a used set for a lot less: http://www.ebay.com/ulk/itm/272032040751

These are the ones for 2007-2008 F150's. You'd need to have new bands installed too. They're pretty much just huge radiator hose clamps and shouldn't cost more than $10 for all 4. The tpms needs to be mounted 180° from the valve stem. If the valve stem was at 12:00, you'd put the tpms at 6:00.

The tpms you have on your truck are already "learned" to your truck. The new/used ones will not be and you'll need a tire shop to re learn them for you. I **think** there's a do it yourself way where you have to deflate the tires and bit, the horn sounds, then you inflate them. It's a process in which I cannot remember at the moment.

Here's one of the ones from my original stock steel wheels (my new chrome clad are from a 2008 and already had them.)
