Picked up a new front grille emblem today.
(I already had the old, dented, paint missing one removed)
Talk about easy to Install! no tools or even to open the hood.
the emblems now have alignment pins and self adhesive tape.
I chose not to use the self adhesive tap and just let the pins "Lock" the emblem in place. This way, if I ever need to change it again, I won't be fighting to get it removed.

 

I believe these come with a couple of self threading nuts too. I replaced mine a couple of years ago and chose not to use the tape, as well

 

They no longer have the self threading nuts. Just two alignment posts and tape.

 

The new three piece design one I got last year also came with self threading nuts and no tape.

Guess they must have changed things again. Content knowing I don't have the laminated version though. Those will all fail and turn completely chrome colored in no time.

04-05 trucks have a different style that weren't prone to that. However, in my opinion, they don't look as good. The emblem is completely flat rather than curved outward.

I had mine custom painted out of the 3 piece style ones. Still came with the threading nuts.

I was looking at 2015s the other day, those emblems are almost 100% flush with the grill/tailgates. Found that quite different.
