It's all that clean. Driven in 7 salty Vermont winters too.

Ok that's remarkable... Now what did you do? What kind of paint? I wire brushed my entire frame and used chassis saver.
This should be a separate thread

Ive owned the truck since it was new. Yearly I add a fresh coat of rustoleum semi gloss. I haven't had any rust show up by doing so. Therefore, prep is minimal. Hit it with a pressure washer and let it dry. Thanks for the compliments!

And I don't wanna hijack OP's thread, sorry for that!

I take my truck to a place in NH every year & they put it on a lift & use a clear Fluid Film type oil which goes everywhere underneath & inside of doors , frame Etc. I highly recommend doing this ever year .

Looks great! I agree, get it sprayed, or go buy some cans of Fluid Film and do it yourself. You just need to know all the known problematic rust areas. I've learned them all, if you need tips.

Get a bunch of cans of fluid film. Spray the whole frame and cross members along with spraying inside the frame. Spray the bottom of the cab, bed supports, inner door lips, inner tailgate lip and up around the rear wheel wheels. You'll see openings that access the upper part of the wheel well when looking up from underneath the truck just in front and behind the wheel wells.

What did he do ... the welder? Did he plate or replace parts?

Looks like plated at spring hangers and almost looks like he plated the side but hard to see well in pics ..... definitely looks great now though.

As you can see, "2008_XL" knows all the tricks to keeping the bottom as sharp as the top side ...... I've been watching his threads for tips for years. If there's a way to keep it looking new, he's been there.

Thanks!

Also, op, don't forget the rockers. Spray those top and bottom and along the edge. Above the rocker there may still be prices of tape covering holes. Remove that tape and spray in there. Then get some type of similar tape and re cover.
