O2 Sensor - P0430

I got a P2272 error code that had me change my O2 sensor bank2 Sensor2, now I got a new code P0430. Should I've changed the upstream sensor at the same time?

No, it's telling you that your driver's side cats are shot.

Or if you are like me you have aftermarket cats with longtube headers. I just had my tuner turn them off to get rid of the 0420/0430 codes. Even the JDM 02 sensor bungs didn't work.
