Commonly asked question. Answer is the same though, depends on the wheel used. The width, and offset.
You can rub a 35 on a stock wheel or stock spec wheel as long as it isn't wider than 12.5"s. With a wheel thats wider than stock and sticks out more, it will be a tough call.
I have 295/60-20 Trail Grapplers on my 20x9 +18 wheels and with my Rancho Quiklift 2" level ( 2" after settling, was 2.5" ) I rubbed slightly on the cabin side of the wheel well liner due to the Rancho soft spring rate, too flexible. Before this I had 33x12.5/20 Toyo M/Ts and they wouldn't rub a thing.
I put a set of Bora 1.5" wheel spacers on and I have the equivalent of a -18 offset now, rubs badly and cutting will be needed, just haven't done it yet.

I plan to put trail grapplers on stock wheels. I don't much about the offset but on the back of the rim it has 20x8.5jx44
A 275x65x20 (34x11) or a 285x65x20 (34.5x12) should fit on a leveled 4x4. Watch out running wide tires on the stock 20's due to the deep backspacing...may cause tires to rub on the upper control arm.
