I'm running an Exide AGM, but since you are not in a cold climate, probably overkill

The original battery lasted 11 years in my 95 Mark VIII Lincoln. Was dead the next morning after an 18 hour, 1,254 mile drive in one day.

The Mark VIII replacement car's, a Dodge Magnum with Hemi, battery was replaced at 10 years while it was still strong with no indications of getting weak. (with a Advance Auto Parts AGM) I was working away from home and didn't want to risk it going dead abruptly.

I run a Deka Intimidator AGM. It is the same one thay is used in ambulances, fire and rescue vehicles and police cars. It is a very reliable battery.

My first Duralast Gold died 1 week out of the 3 year 100% replacement but the guy at Autozone fudged the paperwork and gave me a replacement.

My 06, dead last night, has what I believe is the original battery. I'm somewhere over 100k and somewhere between over 8 and 9 years.
I would consider buying another Motorcraft if the dealership I bought it from hadn't fought me tooth and nail over every stupid little thing after I signed on the dotted line. Never EVER again will I spend my money with that dealer. Hopefully Costco is still selling Kirkland batteries, I've had great luck with them in the past. If not I might get a Motorcraft from a different dealer.
