Flex fuel in an 04?
well is there a write up anywhere? And what all exactly I'd need for the conversion. I have plenty of e85 stations near me.

e85 is crap gasoline. The lower price per gallon doesn't outweigh the fuel mileage loss you get from running it. Also, even Ford recommends that you run a tank of regular gasoline every few fill-ups to purge the system since e85 eats the rubber parts. I wouldn't mess with it, especially if you'd have to pay cash to convert it.

Google 'e85 conversions' and be INUNDATED with kits.

E85 is great if you are building something for the track and/or don't care about mileage. It's 97 octane or so and you can run high compression and advanced timing without detonation.
More frequent oil changes required, ethanol is real hard on the oil and you WILL get some dilution.
It's hard on rubber parts and corrosive to metal parts. It absorbs water, so you will effectively be burning some water.
